EA have announced the contestants in both the lightweight and welterweight divisions of the upcoming EA Sports MMA. Lots of familiar faces, and it should be noted that a lot of fighters appear in multiple weight classes (Matt Lindland appears in welterweight, middleweight and light heavyweight for instance). Among the most recognisable fighters in these divisions are highly rated lightweight Shinya Aoki, Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez, and Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, as well as Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz, Dream welterweight champion Marius Zaromskis, UFC veteran Frank Trigg, and former Strikeforce champion Jake Shields.
