Kinect voice control clarified

Will only work in four countries at launch
Bengt Lemne 1 September 2010

With the rumours and back and forth about the voice control functionality of Kinect lately it should come as no surprise that Kinect won't launch with voice control worldwide. The function will only be available in the U.K., Mexico, Japan and the United States, leaving out all of continental Europe, Canada, and Australia. Thus, it will only work with American English, British English, Japanese and Mexican Spanish, but even if you speak these languages well enough and live in another country you won't be able to use the feature until it's unlocked (spring 2011) in your country.

It's going to be interesting to see just how long it will take Microsoft to get down to the lesser European languages and dialects.
