Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire is funded

Updated: The RPG sequel has raised $1.1 million and rising.
Fabrizia Malgieri 27 January 2017

Barely a day after the launch of its campaign of Fig, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire - sequel to the critically acclaimed RPG game developed by Obsidian Entertainment - is very successful, having amassed all of its million of its $1.1 million target on the crowdfunding/investment platform. The contributions are about half and half from backers and investors at this point, but we could see more investors looking at this as it seems a fairly safe proposition.

Since there are still 28 days left and the campaign is doing very well, but it remains to be seen what sort of stretch goals Obsidian has in store for fans. Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire is expected on PC in 2018.
