The John Carpenter themed content will introduce killer Michael Myers.

Behaviour Digital's horror survival game, Dead by Daylight, has released a new John Carpenter themed DLC pack for Halloween based on the slasher film of the same name.

The new DLC, The Halloween Chapter, will give you the chance to assume the role of iconic killer Michael Myers, the knife wielding protagonist of the 1978 film. It will also add a Jamie Lee Curtis inspired character called Laurie Strode as a playable survivor, as well as a new map called Haddonfield which is based on the location where the slasher film took place. Players will have to purchase the DLC if they wish to play as the new characters, but the map is available for free.

"We're absolutely psyched to introduce 'John Carpenter's Halloween' characters in Dead by Daylight" Starbreeze's CEO and Head of Publishing Mikael Nermark said about the DLC. "It's been a blast seeing the characters come to life with Behaviour's talented team making the outmost of the rich lore available."

The Halloween Chapter is available on Steam now, discounted from £4.99 to £4.49. What other horror characters would you like to see in the game?
