Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3 unveiled

And we've got the first trailer right here.
Tor Erik Dahl 3 May 2016

Long ago Sega went and registered the name Dawn of War 3 (back in June if memory serves), and today, almost one year later, the publisher is ready to officially announce the third instalment in the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War series.

This real-time strategy game is naturally going by the name of {Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3}, and it's Relic Entertainment who are once again on development duties (they made the first games back when they were still aboard the good ship THQ). You can check out the announcement trailer here:

In the accompanying press release we also got a comment from executive producer Stephen MacDonald, who goes big when talking about size:

"This is the Dawn of War that fans have been waiting for. Our biggest units ever? Check. Giant orbital lasers? Check. Base-building, epic heroes, huge battles, it's all in there. Get ready for the biggest Dawn of War yet. For the Emperor!"

The campaign will feature Space Marines, Eldar, and Orks, and according to SEGA and Relic, it'll fuse "the epic scale of Dawn of War, with the customization and elite heroes of Dawn of War II" - news that should appeal to fans of the original games.

Below you can see some screens for the upcoming RTS, which is heading to PC at some yet-to-be-confirmed point in 2017.
