Dragon Quest Heroes takes a new direction, as it is more in line with Dynasty Warriors -series than the main RPG-series.

There might be something special projects planned for Dragon Quest series big anniversary next year. As reported by Gematsu, the creator Yuji Horii made an announcement on the game's official Japanese website, stating that many projects are in the planning stage.

There will be a few interesting looking games (at least for Japanese players) coming out this year already. They get their hands on Dragon Quest Heroes in February, and can also enjoy the tunes of the series in March with Theatrhythm Dragon Quest. The 3.0 expansion for the MMORPG Dragon Quest X will also be released in the spring.

What do you think the next year will bring? Will there be a remake of some old classic, or do we get to see a completely new game in the series?
