While we knew that Crytek had bought the Homefront licence from THQ when the company went under, and had already been working on a sequel to the 2011 shooter beforehand, we'd little in the way of concrete details, until today.
Homefront: The Revolution is a sandbox shooter due out on PS4, Xbox One and PC next year, and is running (unsurprisingly) on the CryEngine. The game's set in occupied Philadelphia, the original's backstory of North Korea invading North America still intact, but focus this time is on a grass-roots resistance rising up to try and liberate the city.
