EA have commented on the problems with Battlefield 4's online multiplayer with a statement promising that DICE are "not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues".

"It is absolutely our number one priority," an EA spokesperson told Polygon in a statement. "The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game."

They also confirmed the latest expansion pack, China Rising, was released since it was already nearing completion.

"Since Battlefield 4 China Rising expansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfill our promise to deliver it this week."

EA have said to check their forums for updates.
