Watch Dogs stars at PS4 event

Another look at Ubisoft's new IP.

Update: Ubisoft's just confirmed that Watch Dogs will be a launch title for the PS4.

Original story:

Following on from last year's E3 reveal of Watch Dogs, Ubisoft's Yves Guillemot took to the stage at Sony's press conference with Jonathan Morin to further discuss the game. During the demonstration we saw Aiden Pearce walking around Chicago, taking control of technology around him in this futuristic open world.

Once again the demo looked superb, the next-gen graphics really making a positive impact on the eyes. We see Pearce using what must be the world's smartest smartphone to scan his surroundings, before intervening in what looks like a domestic on the street, one that quickly turns into a fast paced pursuit on foot. Almost immediately the long arm of the law turns up and it's Pearce on the run, shooting out tires, and causing mayhem as he makes good his escape.

As with all of the other demonstrations seen tonight, Watch Dogs is looking outstanding on Sony's new machine. Keep checking back, because as soon as we have the footage from tonight we'll be sharing it with you here on the site.
