Developer Royal Crow has just revealed a new game, namely an extraction shooter set in a drowned, cosmic-horror world inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Known as Waste the Fallen, the game will be coming to PC via Steam, and there is little release information to go on as of yet due to the recency of this reveal.

What we do know is the game will send players into decaying zones to snag weapons, materials, and other rare finds, where the aim is to gather as much as possible and then escape without being overwhelmed by the horrors and monsters that reside within each map.

It's mentioned no two runs are the same and that the enemies span a couple of factions including the Fallen and the Deviants, while players will also need to contend with environmental threats that can throw any plans into oblivion. In fact, it's mentioned the longer a run progresses, the more the world falls apart and becomes increasingly hostile, a challenge exacerbated by a Sanity system being present that afflicts a player's mental fortitude.

While there is no release date in mind for the game as of yet, what we do know is a Closed Alpha is being planned between September 4-8, but the catch is this is only occurring in North America.
