Fans are starting to believe The Elder Scrolls VI's subtitle is 'Sentinel'

A new theory combines Elder Scrolls lore, Starfield teasers, and Asha Sharma's recent post on social media.

Have fans already cracked the full name of the next The Elder Scrolls title? Nothing official has arrived as of yet, but when Xbox boss Asha Sharma took to social media recently, she referred to the game as The Elder Scrolls VI: ********, which led fans to spiral into a mad flurry while trying to figure out what this means.

Immediately, fans ruled out the previous leading title theory of The Elder Scrolls VI: Hammerfell as it was too long, but perhaps it's not too far off. By combining The Elder Scrolls lore and a hidden serial number found in the Starfield Direct from a few years ago, the new working theory is the full title is The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel.

You can see how the Starfield Direct connects in the excellent bit of theory and speculation below, but as for how Sentinel connects to the world of Tamriel, Sentinel is actually one of the nine major kingdoms of the region of Hammerfell, with the capital city sporting the name too.

Again, none of this is firm confirmation of the game's full title, but there is definitely a connection here and one that has grounds and good reason too.

What's your current running theory?
