Ahead of the weekend, on Friday afternoon, publisher THQ Nordic hosted its annual Showcase, an event where it showed off and shined a spotlight on the many projects and titles it has in active production. To this end, when the show concluded and the company had finished showing off the slate it wanted to emphasise this year, it followed up with a bit of news about what its future holds.
THQ Nordic has confirmed it currently has 29 games in active development with 12 of these titles yet to be announced, even after the Showcase. Yep, 12 more secrets to share with its fans at some point down the line.
It's unclear what these unannounced projects could be, but considering the frequency of SpongeBob SquarePants 3D platformers, we can only expect another to be in the pipeline from Purple Lamp, all while the success of Reanimal hopefully means more from Tarsier Studios is in the work beyond the DLCs for the title. Likewise, we haven't heard much from Black Forest Games in a while, so perhaps another Destroy All Humans! title is on the way at some point.
None of this is confirmation, as we're simply speculating, but it certainly makes it seem as though it's a good time to be a THQ Nordic fan.
