"Writing on the wall" for Obra Dinn Switch port

The game's creator Lucas Pope also spoke about the potential for him to work in the VR space, but nothing is confirmed for either medium right now.

Lucas Pope has garnered a lot of attention in the gaming space for his game Papers, Please, but more recently he's received praise for Return of the Obra Dinn, a game that we rather enjoyed which requires you to unravel the story of a ship's crew after they all go missing.

So far the game is currently out for PC alone, but when Metro talked to Pope recently, the idea of Switch port was discussed. "A lot of people are asking for it," Lucas said. "Actually the first response when I released it for desktops was, 'When is it coming to Switch?' So the writing is on the wall on that I guess. I haven't figured anything out yet solid for it yet though."

This is far from a confirmation of the game coming to Nintendo's console, but with Papers, Please also branching out to handheld platforms via the PS Vita, perhaps it's not too unreasonable to think that this could come to Switch, so you can solve the Obra Dinn's mysteries on the go.

The idea of VR was also discussed, with Pope saying that he's "interested into looking at VR at some point, but I haven't spent any time on it now. It's just one of those things in the back of my mind that seems interesting."

Would you play Return of the Obra Dinn on Switch?
