The Nintendo Labo: VR Kit was revealed earlier this month to expand the existing range of cardboard sets already available for the Switch, but now Nintendo has revealed a new video showing the set off in all its glory, which you can watch down below.

We also get a deeper look at the set courtesy of a new press release, getting us ready for the release on April 12. For example, with the Camera you can dive into a virtual ocean to take photos of sea life, or interact with a strange creature in a house, while the Elephant lets you attempt a physics-based puzzle similar to a marble run, even letting you create your own puzzles. Also with the Elephant you can create 3D artwork with the trunk, which you can then show off on a TV by docking the Switch.

The Bird on the other hand lets you fly in the game and collect items while also helping baby birds to hatch. Users can flap the wings, but a tap of the pedal gives a blast of air for extra speed. Then there are timed races to compete as well, requiring you to soar through checkpoints.

Using the Toy-Con Blaster you can fight off aliens and giant bosses in an on-rails shooting game, or you can fling fruit towards a hippo in another experience. Lastly, the Wind Pedal lets you hop as a frog as you try to climb up colourful balls and avoid obstacles, while the VR Plaza lets you use all Toy-Cons in 64 minigames and experiences.

The VR Kit software is also included as well as the Toy-Con Garage, which lets you create your own VR experiences, as the development team used for VR Plaza. You can even import the VR Plaza games into the Garage to edit them yourself.

Are you going to get this?

"All in all, Labo VR is a really fun experience, one that each and every Switch player should try at least once."
