Larian Studios has revealed that the Definitive Edition of their acclaimed RPG Divinity: Original Sin II has been released on the Nintendo Switch, an announcement that was part of the packed Nintendo Direct stream last night, and it even includes cross-saves between Switch and Steam on PC, meaning you can share progress.

All the same features are included as you'd expect, like choosing from six unique origin characters, freedom to explore the environment, and turn-based combat, and the Switch version launches alongside the second Gift Bag free DLC, containing content for all players.

This Gift Bag is called Song of Nature, featuring new recipes and unique items to craft; a new icon in the Hotbar to toggle sprint on and off; a Magic Mirror in the Arena of Fort Joy, along with a new Character Creation level; an increase of the base maximum Action Points of heroes to eight; and Herb Gardens.

This Definitive Edition of the RPG will cost you $49.99 USD (£44.99, €49.99) on Nintendo's console, and to remind you, this can be downloaded right now, so you can start playing.

Will this be your first time with the game?
