While the remakes of the Persona series have been a huge hit, it's no secret Atlus and P-Studio has approached the task in a peculiar manner. The latest remake efforts began with the Royal version of Persona 5, and then switched back to the Reload edition of Persona 3, with the next to be the Revival edition of Persona 4. While Persona 6 is in active development and seemingly getting closer by the day, the developers have decided to remake the latter three chapters instead of beginning where it all started.
So as they are running out of road to remake more recent Persona entries, is it soon time to return and remake the first two chapters too? This is a question that was posed to P-Studio producer Kazuhisa Wada in an interview with GamerBraves, where he mentioned it was something he believes should happen.
"At this point, I can't say for sure, but personally, I think it's something we should definitely do. I think we have to do it."
So don't take this for a confirmation, but if Wada had his way, he would be looking to remake Persona 1 and 2. The big question is then if this was to happen, would all of the more 'unusual' elements of these games be preserved, i.e. will we still be fighting Hitler as one of the key final bosses? Only time will tell.
