We kind of knew that Overwatch would implement a new mode and special loot boxes this month, but now we've got all the details.
It turns out that the leaked mode, called Junkenstein's Revenge, is Overwatch's first ever co-op mode. In this wave based PvE brawl we'll team up with three other players and face off against a host of eerie enemies, including Dr. Junkenstein, Junkenstein's Monster, the Reaper, a mysterious witch, and host of shambling "zomnics". The enemies aren't the only ones that are special, as we'll also get to play as either the Alchemist (Ana), the Archer (Hanzo), the Gunslinger (McCree), or the Soldier (Soldier: 76) when defending Adlersbrunn castle's doors against Dr. Junkenstein's onslaught.
As previously stated, the loot boxes changes today as well. All loot boxes have been replaced with special glowing Jack-o'-lantern, filled with more than 100 new cosmetic items. Each box will contain at least one Halloween related item - including profile icons, sprays, victory poses, emotes, highlight intros, skins, and more.
