Nobody likes a cheater, but Blizzard seems to like them less than most. After suffering for years at the hands of cheaters in almost all of their games (especially World of Warcraft), the studio today warned their will be zero tolerance with cheaters in Overwatch.
Through a message on the official game forum, Blizzard reiterated that it takes their motto "play nice, play fair," very seriously, and that if a player is caught cheating in Overwatch, it will be permanently banned. This includes the use of external and illegal programs and services to gain the upper hand in the game.
Blizzard also asks players to stay vigilant, and anyone that perceives another player as a cheater should contact Blizzard at [email protected]. Alternatively, players can also report another player through a menu within the game itself. You can read the full statement over here.
Overwatch will be released on May 24 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
