EA have announced a new game in their popular Battlefield-series, which will be free to play. Compared to Battlefield Heroes, the previous F2P shooter from EA Easy, Battlefield Play4Free (subtle name?) will have the same visual style as the rest of the Battlefield games.
The game will combine popular maps from Battlefield 2 with the different weapons and classes from Battlefield: Bad Company 2, will of course feature vehicles and online gaming for up to 32 players.
Battlefield Play4Free will be launched this spring, but you can already sign up for the closed beta over on the official site. We've got the first couple of pictures below.
