Mario had his "nipple-gate" last year, and we assume this made Luigi a bit jealous of the attention. Perhaps that is why he is now going to play tennis in very revealing tight shorts in Mario Tennis Aces with - what we assume is - a sock stuffed in to make certain parts look... more impressive. Or maybe he's just very fortunate. We assume we'll never get to know the answer, but the picture has become a hot topic on social media and on major gaming forums.
Or as the editor of VIZ Media, Christopher Butcher, puts it on Twitter:
"The difference between Tumblr and Twitter is that Twitter users are all upset about Luigi's dick bulge because they're so fucking basic and Tumblr users are doing Algebra to figure out that it's roughly 3.7" flacid and they're so happy for him to have a dick."
