Lucio is the best character in Overwatch, so says the stats

Overwatch doesn't have any official ranking system. There's no proper way to see how you stack up against the rest of the player population, or to get a proper idea of which characters win the most games.

And so fans have tried to build a solution to that problem. Master Overwatch is a stats site that collects statistics from players' profiles and attempts to make meaning of it all. It doesn't count the full population - only players whose Battletags, PSN IDs or Xbox Live Gamertags have been entered manually on the site. But according to PC Gamer, Master Overwatch still has data on something like 800,000 Overwatch players.

Judging from the stats, Lucio is easily the best character in the game. He has the third-highest win-rate at 57.8%, and the highest score/minute at 259.4.

Oddly enough, Mercy has the lowest winrate at 48%, but then she's also the most popular pick.

Least popular is poor Symmetra, with her turrets and misunderstood raygun. Which is odd, because she also has the highest winrate by far at 61%. We take it that most players just have no idea what to do with her.
