When maps are recreated in Grand Theft Auto V by the modding community, it's usually to reproduce the map of another game, maybe even a previous GTA title, but a recent mod by KieranMerrilees is all about creating London in the game.
The mod currently recreates London landmarks in the game, and as you can see from the screenshots down below, also adds some tiny details like emergency service vehicles as well. The overall goal, however, is "to eventually do a full map overhaul to replace it with British textures and give it a London look."
