The new dashboard for Xbox 360 came with some new features, not the least support for Kinect. But there's also some stuff going on behind the scenes, including improved copy protection. According to G4TV, if you've updated your system you can no longer play copied discs and if you try to you're flagged to get banned from Xbox Live.
