Development officially complete on Phantom Blade Zero, pre-orders to go live next week

Phantom Blade Zero, the new action game from S-Game and Cruelman Studio, has completed development more than two months out from release. While it hasn't used the term, we can assume this means something akin to the game going gold, giving us a lot of confidence that the new October 29th date won't be pushed back any further.

Phantom Blade Zero's latest milestone was announced by the game's social media page, where it also revealed pre-orders would be going live next week. They'll kick off on the 11th of August at 19:00 Pacific time, which is going to be in the early hours of the morning on the 12th of August in the UK and Europe. Pre-orders will be available on the PlayStation Store, Steam Store, and Epic Games Store.

Moreover, we're also told we'll get a new, 11-minute trailer celebrating the countdown to launch. It'll feature new story content, characters, combat, and "something unexpected." That something unexpected is probably to do with the Fortnite collaboration already announced for the game, revealed by the Epic Games Store social media account.

Phantom Blade Zero launches on the 29th of October for PS5 and PC.
