There's no doubt that Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V is an incredibly popular game, and on top of this it has encouraged gamers to exercise creativity using the open world title, whether that's through modding or, as demonstrating by LA film maker Matt MacDonald, making short films using the game.

You can watch the entire video here, entitled Not Normal, which tells the tale of a murder on the streets of Los Santos. If this has grabbed your interest, you may also want to see MacDonald's video about how to turn a video game into a film here.

What other games would suit the film treatment in this way?

Grand Theft Auto V
