There has been many rumours floating around about Human Head Studios' Prey 2 since it was postponed by publisher Bethesda. Whatever the reason for the break down of the project (some claim the developer felt the deal with Bethesda was unfair), we now finally have some concrete word on the situation.
Nathan Cheever, designer on the project recently tweeted:
"Prey 1 = Indians in Space. Prey 2 = Cowboys in Space. (#Prey2). btw, P2 hasn't been officially canceled, only in limbo."
Of course, in limbo is usually the state a project is in just before official cancellation, so it's only a slim hope to cling on to for those who wish to see the promising game released.
