Team Ninja, the studio that gave us Ninja Gaiden, is working on Nioh for a decade (well, perhaps not during all of that time), and the game has undergone many changes through its development cycles. Now, from what we saw in the recent past and the new playable demo, Nioh is game clearly inspired by From Software's Dark Souls, albeit with a Feudal Japan theme.
We captured the first 10 minutes of the demo to show you, been we should also remind you that the demo is available at no cost on the PS Store, until May 5, so try it out yourself if you enjoy the video below.
