Microsoft's call for beta testers for the new Xbox Live Dashboard update has closed after only a day - after the target number was reached in record time.
The company's Major Nelson had blogged to say the publisher was looking for candidates to test the update, which will roll out publicly later this year, which would include select Dashboard features such as:
New design for integrated Kinect and controller navigation.
New Beacons to play online with friends.
Deeper Facebook integration.
New Cloud Storage for Game Saves and Xbox LIVE Profile.
No sooner had he asked for helpers he was updating to say the positions had been filled. Those who were successful will be getting the update through in the next fortnight.
The update is expected to be a huge overhaul to the Dashboard rather than additional tweak, as the company adds a wealth of new features, such as Bing integration, and new content providers in deals with television companies.
