The court case between West & Zampella and former employer Activision, which the pair claim held back on COD royalties, has been set for trial on May 7 next year.
The date confirmation, as picked up by Gamasutra, sees the legal tussle that dominated the news last year move from a public war of words to a court room to finally settle the dispute.
Vincent Zampella and Jason West, who have went on to form Respawn Entertainment with a team of ex-Infinity Ward employees, claim Activision held back on royalties earned with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, while the former publisher claims the pair were in talks with EA during the game's development and filed a lawsuit of its own.
