Los Angeles is to play host to a two-day Call of Duty event entitled XP 2011, over September 2nd and 3rd.
The event, which has a 6K+ capacity, will include both hands-on with Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer and the Spec Ops co-op mode. COD Elite will also have a showing.
Along with dicsusion panels and "live entertainment", the main thrust of the weekend will be a Black Ops tournament, with qualification and regional competitions occurring in the build-up to the event. Activision will be offering video stream of the event online.
Tickets are $150, with all proceeds going to the The Call of Duty Endowment, a non-profit, public benefit corporation that seeks to help veterans transition to civilian life, find work and establish careers, and assist other organizations that provide career training and job placement for veterans.
