Bungie are organising one last hurrah on Halo: Reach's multiplayer, challenging gamers to beat its own four-man squads on July 7th.
As detailed on Bungie.net, on that day the studio will set up a special Bungie Vs The World playlist for 24 hours only, and draft in seasoned four-Spartan squads to take on all comers each hour.
Anyone managing to defeat them with a 20 kill streak margin will be mailed out a real steak. If Bungie's best survive, according to the dev, and "they'll fire up the studio grill and eat the steaks you could have won right on the webcams so you can witness the bloody aftermath while you lick nothing but your tender wounds."
Bungie notes that due to "those really boring, but seriously necessary legal affairs", non-US residents will be shipped out a gift card rather than prime cuts of meat.
The event is part of the company's20th anniversary celebrations, which includes charity auctions of swag, goodie bags, and a teaser for its next project: Bungie Aerospace.
The teaser image links to a website emblazoned with a "Coming Soon" teaser. Speculation is that the site will go live come the wrap up of the celebrations, possibly after the Reach multiplayer event.
