Sony Worldwide Studios head Shuhei Yoshida has admitted the PSP Go, the company's modified version of its handheld, was somewhat of a creative misfire, voicing the thought that many critics had from the get-go.

"There are lots of lessons we learned from the PSPgo," he explained to Official PlayStation Magazine, (as seen by MCV).

"Definitely we didn't do something right with it...there are lots of things, like the hardware didn't have the compatibility with the UMD library and not all the PSP games were sold on the PSN store."

The company is looking to wipe the slate clean with the release of its newest handheld, currently codenamed NGP, this winter.
