Sony has announced the reactivation of PSN this morning, although the Welcome back packages promised for disgruntled consumers aren't available yet, though SCEE Head of Communications Nick Caplin promised they'd "be available soon."

"You may have noticed that the content promised as part of the Welcome Back offer is not yet live," he explained. "It is currently in the final stages of testing and will be available to download very soon; we'll be sure to let you know when.

"We will update you with the full lists of new content available to PlayStation Network members and PlayStation Plus subscribers here on the PlayStation.Blog in the next few hours."

The PlayStation Store has reopened, stacked with a wealth of new content that's been queued up in the six weeks since the network went down originally.

The switch on happens only a few days before Sony's E3 Conference - all eyes there to see what the publisher has to say about the fallout of the situation.
