Much rumoured, now confirmed: Microsoft will be showing off their plans for the next generation this month on May 21.
While US outlets have posted up invites to the event, due to take place at Microsoft's Redmond offices in Washington, the company's Major Nelson has also confirmed the event on his official site with a press release and a countdown clock.
"On Tuesday May 21st, we'll mark the beginning of a new generation of games, TV and entertainment," reads the post. "On that day, we'll share our vision for Xbox, and give you a real taste of the future. Then, 19-days later at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, we'll continue the conversation and showcase our full lineup of blockbuster games."
The presentation, dubbed "A New Generation Revealed", will also be live-streamed on Xbox Live and Xbox.com, at 10am Pacific Time, 6pm GMT.
