If you're a fan of the Battlefield franchise then you've likely already marked the week of October 19 in your diary as that's when Battlefield V is heading to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
But perhaps you're also among those wondering why Battlefield V uses Roman numerals, which is not usually something we've seen from the franchise. The reason is simple but historical, as explained by the studio over on Twitter after the recent confirmation that there'll be no loot boxes in the game:
"✌ represents "V for Victory". The phrase and sign were popularized by Winston Churchill and used amongst the allies for much of WWII. It's also why we chose to use the Roman numeral V instead of the number 5 for the title."
