When the developers of Star Wars Battlefront II decided to remove the controversial microtransactions from the game back in November they made it very clear that it was only temporary, and that in would return in another form at a later date. Some thought it would return shortly after the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but we'll have to wait quite a bit longer than that.

Electronic Arts has announced that they've been implementing changes based on our feedback, but that they won't be ready to share details about the revamped system until March. We're guessing they wouldn't reveal the details too long before they were implemented, so our guess is that they'll be implemented in March as well. This is just us speculating though.

The announcement also reveals that we won't have to wait till March for more content. They'll also introduce a new mode called Jetpack Cargo next month. They're not willing to share much in terms of details at this time, but we're told that two teams of eight players equipped with jet packs will compete in the "frantic, fast-paced" mode. Jetpack Cargo will only be available for a limited time, so it might just be part of the upcoming new season. Because the announcement ends by telling us that a new season is just around the corner and that it'll include a few changes based on what they learned from the first one. Again, no further details are given but expect thins to be made clear in the near future.

How do you think the new progression system should work?
