'Splosion Man developer Twisted Pixel has commented on Capcom's recently released iPad/iPhone title MaXplosion.

The 2D platformer has you controlling a self-exploding red figure as he tries to escape a scientific lab, using his explosive ability to climb walls and destroy enemies.

Sounds a little big familiar.

Check out MaXplosion for yourselfhere. It currently retails for 59 pence.

Twisted Pixel has noticed similarities and have been forward about discussing it, posting their thoughts on Twitter.

Michael Wilford stated simply "Not sure what to say about MaXplosion. Pisses me off. Guess we're just gonna have to make a better iPhone game than them," before following it up with "best part is, we originally pitched @Splosion_Man to Capcom and they said no."

Twisted Pixel programmer mike Henry tweeted "MaXplosion gameplay video makes me sad. If you're going to outright steal a game, you should at least understand what makes it fun," before replying to another tweet that "borrowing is great. Hell, we do it all the time. But that game is a complete theft."
