Splinter Cell 6 has been confirmed to be in development by Ubisoft Toronto's Managing Director Jade Raymond.
Appearing as part of a promotional video showcasing the new studio, Jade confirms that it is currently hard at work on the sixth entry into the long-running stealth series. The studio currently has 80 people on board, with the plan in the next decade to multiple that number tenfold.
The news of a new Splinter Cell comes some seven months after the latest entry Conviction was released after nearly four years in development. Here's hoping the sixth doesn't suffer the same lengthly delay.
Raymond's profile in the industry was raised as she appeared prominently in promotional material for Ubisoft Montreal's first Assassin's Creed title, prior to the game's launch in 2007.
