The Black Ops developer has outperformed Modern Warfare's Infinity Ward, according to the CEO of Activision parent company Vivendi, Jean-Bernard Lévy, who was speaking to investors at the Morgan Stanley conference this week, reports the Financial Times.

"We have broken our own record. I am very, very pleased," he said. "The Treyarch studio, which made this year's game, has done better than what the Infinity Ward studio could achieve a year ago."

He's not wrong.

The CEO also gave some insight into the Infinity Ward's current status after the fallout of the West and Zampella incident, and the future of the Call of Duty franchise.

"We have reconstructed Infinity Ward," he stated. "We have been very happy with the way we have been able to reconstruct it. We also have a third studio which was created about a year-and-a-half ago called Sledgehammer, which is working on Call of Duty properties.

We believe this set up of studios working on Call of Duty has demonstrated it can do very well."
