Blizzard Entertainment are working diligently against cheating software which is used to gain advantages in their games such as Diablo III, World of Warcraft and Heroes of the Storm. Kotaku reports, that Blizzard has filed a lawsuit against German company Bossland creators of Stormbuddy. They want to "aggressively defend" their games and services. Blizzard claims to have won numerous cases against Bossland in Germany. The company offers bots that can be installed on a users PC to gain advantages in the games.

Now Torrent Freak published a statement of Bossland CEO Zwetan Letschew who claims that that Blizzard's legal team approached a freelancer coder working with Bossland and offered him a deal which included giving the source code for a Heroes of the Storm bot called Stormbuddy to Blizzard. But Bossland now wants to go to court over the case, because Blizzard now has access to the intellectual property of Bossland. And "there was no permission given by Bossland GmbH, nor were we contacted by Activision Blizzard". Bossland has stopped sales of Stormbuddy, though bots for other games are still available.

While Blizzard may very have done something wrong (though that remains to be proven), this does come across like that urban myth (?) of the thief suing a house owner over icey stairs that made him slip and break his leg.
