Shenmue 3 was launched as a Kickstarter campaign at Sony's conference last night, with a goal of two millions dollars - a number it looks set top reach very shortly.
The campaign is over $1,700,000 already, a number's that's increasing rapidly as we type this story up.
If/when funded, Yu Suzuki will develop the title for PC and PS4 on Unreal Engine 4, with stretch goals in place if the money keeps rolling in.
