Delays are nothing new to Rocksteady's Arkham series, and while we know we'll get a more polished experience as a result, the wait can be a hard one to endure.

Yet the new release for the game, originally scheduled for this September, mightn't be that long away, if Batman himself, voice actor Kevin Conroy, is to be believed. The Dark Knight stated during a video interview with Groovey.TV (and spotted by CVG) that "we've been working on it for a year and a half and it's still not done. So it's going to come out next January."

A Warner spokesperson has responded to the query over that date, stating only that Arkham Knight is still "scheduled for release in 2015". Whether Conroy's slip is a mistake or an unscheduled reveal of the new release date then is unconfirmed, but if true would mean Batman would be beating out The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as the first big high-profile release of 2015.
