It's been almost two years since we returned to Middle-earth for a new chapter in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power story. After the show kicked off in 2022, the second season arrived in 2024, meaning it's not behind schedule as of yet. However, there have been recent fears that Season 3 wouldn't debut this year and that rather it would be pushed until 2027. This won't be the case.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Rings of Power's third season will storm onto Prime Video by the end of the year. There is no reference to a firm date as of yet or even a more concise window, but if you have been eager to follow Galadriel's endeavour as she continues to battle Sauron and the forces of evil, then the good news is that you won't have to wait too much longer.

An official synopsis for this next batch of episodes has even been shared, with it explaining the following: "Jumping forward several years from the events of season two, season three takes place at the height of the War of the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to craft the One Ring that will give him the edge he needs to win the war and conquer all Middle-earth at last."

Are you looking forward to more The Rings of Power?
