It seems like the premise of Heart Eyes, a horror flick that arrived in time for Valentine's Day last year, has proven to be enough of a success for Paramount to want to explore it further.
In a report from The Hollywood Reporter, it's stated that a Heart Eyes follow-up is on the way and that it intends to premiere as soon as February 11, 2028, making for another Valentine's Day weekend thrill-fest.
Director Josh Ruben will be returning for this sequel project built around a script co-written with Darcy Fowler, and based on a story penned by the scriptwriters for the original movie, Christopher Landon and Michael Kennedy. Both Landon and Kennedy are also attached to Heart Eyes 2 as producers.
What we don't know is any clear plot details, even if the general idea of a couple being hunted by a violent murderer is probably a good place to start. Likewise, the cast attached has yet to be named, meaning it's unclear if Mason Gooding or Olivia Hoult will reprise their roles from the original film.
