The first season of Overwatch's 2026 is coming to an end rather soon. With Season 2 on the horizon, Blizzard is ramping up the anticipation campaign by confirming that this next chapter will introduce a new hero who will be shown off to the world next week.

While this hero hasn't been fully revealed, the announcement comes with an updated key art that shows off a new hero in its bottom right, a woman with a long pink braid, a hefty rifle, and some sort of flying fish drone. All of these odd details have ignited the community, who seem to have already cracked who this individual is.

As per Kotaku, many fans seem to believe this hero is Frankie, a character that was introduced in the 2021 novel titled Deadlock Rebels, which makes sense since the phrasing of "y'all aren't ready for this one" certainly has a wild west-theme to it, something that befits Frankie who is part of the Deadlock Gang led by Ashe and which formerly included Mcre... Cassidy.

We'll receive answers to all of this speculation soon, as the hero will be revealed on April 8 at 17:00 BST/18:00 CEST.

Seemingly Frankie in the bottom right.
