If you've been eagerly awaiting more official news about Terrifier 4, then it's your lucky day. Director and writer Damien Leone has taken to social media to share an update on the film and to put an end to the various rumours that have been doing the rounds as of late.
For one, Leone confirms that the script for the flick is almost complete and that it's taking so long because it's the most "precious" and "challenging" script that he has ever written. This being said, he expects the script to be finished soon as he's expecting pre-production on the film to happen this spring, meaning filming may occur in the summer or autumn, if everything continues moving along smoothly.
"The script is very close to completion," Leone began. "I'm hoping to begin pre-production this spring. This is the most precious script I've ever written for many reasons, but it's also the most challenging. There's a lot of material to tackle and a lot riding on this one, not just creatively but emotionally."
Leone then goes on to describe how Terrifier 4 is so important because it needs to be a finale that rewards and honours the dedication of the fans that have followed it so far. He then adds, "I'm thrilled with the way it's turning out and confident it will deliver."
Expect specific information from Leone as to when the script is wrapped up and likewise when the next stage of development will be underway, as "if you don't see it coming from or confirmed by me, then it's not official."
