As part of the company's investor meeting this morning, company head Satoru Iwata stated that a new Super Mario Bros title is being developed for the 3DS - and it'll be a classic 3D side-scroller.
"Although there is no logo here, we are planning to release a totally new side-scrolling action Super Mario in 2D as a key title for the Nintendo 3DS in the next fiscal year," he told investors.
After acclaim for Super Mario 3D Land, that mixed between the two dimensions successfully, it'll be intriguing to see what the Japanese giant has up its sleeve in seemingly going back to the more traditional route for its series.
