The BMW Group has lifted the curtain on a brand new Mini model. This all-electric vehicle is designed to slot into the Mini portfolio between the regular Cooper and the larger Countryman model, and features a ton of modernised stylings and elements.
We're told that this car, known as the Aceman, measures four metres in length, has a battery that promises over 400 kilometres of range, and enough luggage space to store 300 litres of items, or over 1,000 litres when sacrificing the five-seats that the car offers.
It has an exterior that comes in one of four individual trim options, as well as an interior that is bolstered by a central OLED display and a panoramic glass roof. There will also be support for Mini's voice assistant that can either appear as a stylised Mini or instead the canine companion of Spike, either of which can provide information of geographical data, GPS routes, automatically open the window, and more.
There will be two iterations of the Aceman. The Aceman E features a smaller and less powerful battery and motor option to the Aceman SE, which caps out at a battery sized at 54.2kWh and a motor offering power of 160kW/218 hp that can deliver a 0-100km/h time of 7.1 seconds. Fast-charging will be supported for the models, allowing you to charge up to 80% in less than 30 minutes.
Neither the release date nor the price of the Aceman has been mentioned as of yet.
