Maserati has been steadily exploring the electric vehicle space as of late, by debuting a few new models that mark the Italian car manufacturer's commitment to an electric future. As part of this effort, Maserati has debuted the GranCabrio Folgore, which is an all-electric convertible that is described as the fastest car currently in the luxury EV convertible space - granted that's not a very broad category.

The car has been created and made entirely at Maserati's Modena factory and has now been launched too. It's known as the sister to the more traditional grand tourer model, and is the second major EV model to come from the brand following last year's Grecale Folgore.

As part of the launch of the GranCabrio Folgore, Maserati has affirmed that next year we'll get to see the MC20 Folgore electric super sports car, and that by 2028, Maserati will have electrified its entire range of cars. Quite an impressive feat for the Italian automotive makers.
