Alpine has announced that for the first time it will be running its Alpenglow racecar on hydrogen fuel at the upcoming 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The car will be using a hydrogen-powered internal combustion engine that will no doubt be used as a tester for potential commercial Alpine products down the line, as we've seen become the case with many car features beforehand.
Alpine states, "Alpenglow embodies the future of Alpine design in motorsport, as well as for future series production models. It is also the brand's laboratory for future sustainable mobility technologies with a hydrogen-powered internal combustion engine that will enhance driving pleasure tenfold."
6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps will be held between May 10-11, and it will be the first time we see the concept car run using this fuel type since its reveal in 2022.
